I graduated as a psychologist from Aarhus University in 2005 and subsequently became licensed.
I have many years of experience working with people facing a variety of challenges – ranging from a lack of direction in life to more diagnostic difficulties such as OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders/neurodivergence. I have particular expertise in treating anxiety and depression, as well as general psychological issues such as stress, self-esteem challenges, and sleep problems.
I work with metacognitive therapy because it offers a relatively straightforward and highly effective approach to addressing the mind when control has been lost, and thoughts are in charge.
My professional approach is marked by respectful and sustainable dialogue. I focus on creating the best possible framework for collaboration. In my therapeutic practice, I emphasize creating a positive atmosphere and the necessary calm for development. I tailor my approach to you and your concerns, and together, we find a path toward a calmer mind.
In the therapeutic space, we will closely examine the unhelpful strategies that contribute to your mental unrest – whether it’s overthinking, worrying, ruminating, or something else entirely. From there, we will work to reduce these patterns, enabling you to live a life with greater energy and balance.
Our work will primarily involve conversation and practical exercises.
"When the mind is at peace, there is more energy to live life."
